Vulcan type 1645S

Narrow profile, multiple spring seal, designed for the common American ANSI B73-1974 centrifugal pump standard.

Frequently fitting with Type 23 PTFE boot stationary seal.

Type 1645 utilizes a PTFE wedge secondary seal.

Type 1645S is an 'O'-Ring Mounted design.

The stock size is always set by the shaft size under the seal body.

A PTFE backup ring is recommended to be specified for higher pressure ‘O’-Ring applications.
